
“I have practiced art during my time away from school in a different perspective to allow it to blossom from an academic structure into a study of consumerism. Visual Merchandising in retail has allowed me to practice color theory and symbolism of masculinity and femininity through trends, production, fabrications, and marketing. Fully understanding the concept of visual communication has given me the freedom to grow my art practices through representation of a targeted concept. Through this, I have gained the experience of transforming my knowledge of the arts in multiple digests. The simplicity of telling a story through fashion to formulate a display window quickly became a focus of mine during my time in retail.”
